Becoming a nurse may become a good idea if you have a strong interest in working in a healthcare facility. By becoming a nurse, your works are not as rigorous as those of a doctor or a healthcare administrator, but the salary that you earn can match that of doctors and administrators. Taking associate degree program is a good decision if you want to be qualified to take rn certification program more quickly because associate degree in nursing program only lasts two years whereas bachelor’s degree in nursing program is a four-year degree program. However, if you are expecting a career as an advanced practice nurse, you should take bachelor’s degree program because earning bachelor’s degree in nursing is the primary requirement to take graduate program in nursing.
You can take either program either online or on-campus. If you earn your RN certificate after taking associate degree in nursing program, you can attempt at earning your BSN degree by taking online nursing bachelors degree program. This option is considered favorable if you are currently working as a fulltime nurse.
